Dr Johannes Natterer joined the Natrium team as an Advisor in 2023. From 2008 until 2021 Johannes was a member of the investment team of H.I.G. Capital, heading as a Managing Director the European efforts in Natural Resources. 

Before joining H.I.G. Capital, Johannes was heading global production site optimisation for German specialty chemical company Evonik Industries. Prior to that, he worked at consultancy McKinsey & Co as Engagement Manager with assignments across multiple industries and functions. Johannes started his professional career at Hoechst AG (later Celanese AG) where he worked as a plant manager and Six Sigma Black Belt at the production site in Oberhausen (Germany). 

Johannes’ experience covers the chemical and process industries with a particular focus on production and process optimisation. He currently serves as chair of the advisory board of Plixxent GmbH, the leading European independent PU systems house and also serves as Senior Advisor to H.I.G. Capital. He graduated with a diploma in Chemistry from the Technical University Berlin and has a PhD in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Bonn.
